To prepare for this meditation - you might want to tape record the words on this page to listen to as your move through the meditation. Please speak slowly and softly.
Find a quiet place ... free of distractions.
Adjust the lighting and room temperature.
Adjust clothing . . . footwear . . . eyeglasses.
Sit down or lie down
Find a position that is comfortable for you.
Quiet your mind . . . Still your thoughts.
Relax your body
Your face . . . your jaw . . . relaxing
Your shoulders . . . your neck . . . relaxed
Your arms . . . your hands . . . feel at peace.
Your torso . . . your hips . . . letting go
Your legs . . . your feet . . . totally relaxed
Focus on your breathing.
Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose.
Retain the breath as long as is comfortable.
Exhale through the mouth slowly and completely.
Repeat for two more breaths . . . or as is comfortable.
Now focus your attention on your Chakras
Starting from the top of your head visualize your crown chakra opening.
Watch as pure white light enters your crown chakra
and slowly spirals down through your spine.
The white light opens your third eye chakra.
You may experiences vibrant colors especially in blue, and violet . . .
The white light moves down to your throat chakra releasing your blockages.
The white light now enters your heart chakra.
You experience a feeling of unconditional love and compassion.
The white light enters your solar plexus.
Gently your fears - anger - tensions are released.
See the white light enter your Sacral chakra
releasing pain and guilt linked to that chakra.
The white light now enters your Root Chakra the seat of your kundalini energy.
As it does, it begins to activate the energy of the (root) chakra.
Feel the energy suddenly emerge from your Root Chakra,
Spiraling up through the base of your spine as if it were a coiled snake.
The coiled snake represents the spiraling DNA -
opening, activating, bringing you to higher levels of consciousness.
Take a deep breath and pull the energy down through your body to the very base of your spine, the seat of the first chakra. As you release the air, relax all the muscles in your toes, feet and legs. Take in more air and focus on your connecting point to the earth. Now release the air, .. relax down through your body, and continue to send your attention deep into the center of the earth. Picture magnetic lines of force coming from the earth's core, connecting with your own root center. Allow that force to arise within you, from below.
Feel the weight of your attachment to the earth: its gravitational pull on your body, through the mass of rock.. dirt.. clay.. and minerals. Sense the huge mass of the planet under you, pulling you down towards dense earth.
Feel its connection to the earth. Imagine a brilliant red light in front of you. A red the color of rubies. Take 3 deep yogic breaths, inhaling this vital red energy, bringing the energy up to your Root Chakra.
With another deep breath bring the energy up to the Orange spectrum of the Sacral Chakra
Next Breath to the Yellow Spectrum of the Solar Plexus
Now to the Green Spectrum of the Heart Chakra
Another deep slow breath pulling the energy up to the Blue Spectrum of the Throat Chakra
And now, bring the energy up to the Indigo Spectrum of the Brow Chakra
Take another deep breathe bringing the energy up to the Purple Spectrum of the Crown Chakra
Allow the energy to flow through your chakras.
Relax your body and your mind,
Enveloped yourself in a Auric Egg of Light
Let all thoughts clear away, until a calmness exists that gives you inner peace.
Observe the Light at your center, and keep steadily focused upon it, while you relax; allow your consciousness to go into it. If you find yourself tensing up, or if your thinking distracts you, take slow deep breaths and relax again into the Light, and into its silence and the peace within. Sit until you feel your heart and breath become one, until they have a common rhythm.
Now visualize your duality self, your dark side, your masculine self if you are female and your feminine side if you are male, seating within you, layering with your existence, connecting becoming one. Exchange your own duality with this new oneness.
Know you are tuning into a deeper consciousness within, the genuine feeling of the Presence of your True Being. This consciousness is the Real You, not a separate Higher Self. The so-called false or outer self is slowly transforming and dissolving away as you grow spiritually, making way for the Divine Beingness you are, to become more present, and even fully emergent.
In this deep, meditative state, when you start sensing this Inner Consciousness, the next thing you must do is to direct a question to it., "Who am I?"
Here you must learn to ignore the ideas and thoughts of the outer mind, disregarding the outer self and its advice as if it didn't exist, accepting that it is the small self; knowing that it is the small self because you can observe it.
Know that this outer self or mind has served its purpose in guarding and protecting you on your spiritual journey; know this and thank it and then put it to one side for a while.
Now go deeper, and keep looking at the Light inside; look for the brightest part of the Light; the Source of the Light; then look into the Source of the Light; move in consciousness into the Source of the Light knowing that the Source of this Light is the Life and Light of Your True Being.
Notice how the lower mental level becomes quiet as you become more and more, the one who observes; notice that your small mind feels safe as you go into the Great Peace and Light of God; notice how the one who observes enters into peace as the mind becomes quiet and that the quietness allows you to you go ever more deeply into the Light.
When you are as deep as you can go, adopt a waiting receptive mode; continue to observe and watch and listen in a receptive mode. Allow the meditation to draw to a natural conclusion.
Return your consciousness to your physical body.
Relax and balance your energies.
You might want to drink some water.
At the conclusion of your meditation, record what you received, saw, heard or perceived in your journal immediately, because as you emerge from this deep level, you may forget as you go about your daily life, very important parts of what you have experienced.
Also write down any questions you may have so that you may meditate on those questions next time and or contemplate them between meditations.
