With a better understanding of the Heart Chakra lets revisit my pie story. In the Solar Plexus we learned that the belief that was taken from the situation was that the child Debbie was not worth a piece of pie to her family. After exploring the energies of the Solar Plexus it was seen that they were only inconsiderate of a childs feelings. Now with the knowledge of the Heart Chakra this can evolve further into seeing they were acting the only way they knew how. We are to look at them with compassion.

When we have expectation beyond a persons capabilities the only one that gets hurt is us. The others involved are are being who they know how to be regardless of the action. My expectation as a child was my mother would always make sure I am treated correctly. My expectations were not met, I was hurt. In truth, she was caught up in the humor or her fat brother gulping down a pie in record time, not thinking she was to save a piece of that pie for her 9 year old. There was no intent, but how sad that was their choice of behavior.
